Common US and Canada Voltage Systems 600Vac and below

While there are many different voltage systems, the below picture shows some common US and Canada nominal voltage systems 600Vac and below.

Note:

-- In the voltage system designation (eg. 480Y/277) the higher number is always the phase to phase voltage and the smaller number is the phase to ground voltage.

-- If the higher number is first, it is a 3-phase system.  If the lower number is first (eg. 120/240), it is a single phase system.
