How Should We Look at Tariff Increase on LED Lighting

We realize there may be confusion around how the new tariffs with China will affect purchasing LED lighting. In general, the 10% tariff will have some cost impact, but that only slightly impacts the energy/money savings and other benefits that are achieved when you convert to LED.
For example, a LED fixture that had a 10 Month Payback (pre-tariff), will see a new payback period of 11 months with the new 10% tariff.
In this time of uncertainty, we have decided to reduce pricing overall by 3% in order to help our customers absorb the recent 10% tariff increase.
Obviously, we can’t predict when the tariff increase will be cancelled. However, our commitment to you, our customer, is to continue to offer quality products at competitive prices.
The bottom line is that the savings you will see from replacing Metal Halide, HPS, or HID with LED far outweigh the initial cost or any cost associated with the tariff increases.
