Numerous types of fixtures can be used when setting up high-bay lights. These include LED lights, induction lights, metal halide lights, and fluorescent lights. However, even if bulbs such as traditional incandescent lights are less expensive to purchase initially, high bay LED lights are a better investment because they offer extremely long life and energy efficiency, whereas incandescent lights burn out more quickly and use more energy.
There are several types of fixtures available for high bay LED lights. These include architectural high bays and grid-mount high bays that each offer different light qualities and coverage styles. But, the most common type of high bay LED lights that you‘ll see are round (UFO) high bays and linear high bay LED lights. UFO lights are very easy to install and have a strong beam angle that is manageable. Linear high bay LED lights, on the other hand, are great for lighting dark, narrow halls because they offer a broad beam angle without appearing like a spotlight.
